This in-person, one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is run by Training at LeedsBID and lasts seven hours. It is aimed at levy paying businesses only, and covers roles and responsibilities of a first aider, assessing an incident, CPR, the recovery position, use of a defibrillator, choking, seizures, shock, wounds and bleeding, and minor injuries. Attendees get hands-on practice with real-life emergency scenarios and a certificate valid for three years, which allows them to act as a designated first aider in low-risk workplaces.
