This in-person workshop, run by Digital Pathfinders, explains what AI agents are, how they work and how they differ from chatbots and other AI tools. It compares two ways agents access tools and data, Model Context Protocol (MCP) and direct API integrations, and looks at running systems on your own hardware versus cloud services. It is aimed at small businesses and charities, with no technical knowledge needed, and gives attendees enough understanding to hold informed conversations with developers or suppliers.
